High alumina refractory castable is a type of refractory castable produced by using high alumina raw materials as aggregates and powders, and adding binders. High alumina castables have high mechanical strength and good properties such as thermal shock resistance and abrasion resistance. They are mainly used as lining materials for various kilns such as boilers, blast furnaces, heating furnaces, and ceramic kilns.
The performance characteristics of high alumina castables include:
1. The amount of cement used is low, and the calcium content in the casting material is only 1/4-1/3 of that of traditional refractory casting materials. Therefore, the number of low melting phases in low cement castables has been reduced, resulting in a significant improvement in high-temperature performance;
2. The construction water consumption is low, generally 6-7% of the weight of the casting material, therefore it has high density and low porosity;
Not only does it have high room temperature curing strength, but the strength does not decrease after medium and high temperature treatment, and the absolute value of strength is 3-5 times that of traditional refractory castables;
4. It has good volume stability at high temperatures, and although it is a non combustible refractory material, the volume shrinkage is small after drying and calcination.
